Michigan reads the 2023 book

The Michigan examinations reference the 2023 National Electrical Code, with Michigan’s Part 8 amendments. This page holds 2026 section numbers and table values, so check anything you rely on against your own 2023 copy. The 2023 to 2026 crosswalk maps every section that moved.

The article level moves are concentrated at the two ends of the book: Chapter 1 took in load calculations from Article 220 and energy management from Article 750, and the limited energy and communications material was rebuilt across the 720s. Ampacity, overcurrent, grounding, motors and boxes kept their articles, and Chapter 9 is still the tables.
